CANCER SUPPORT : The “Krishnarpanam'' program for cancer patients is institutionalized programme for the needy and poor of India. It involves financial support for medicine, treatment and  surgery. We endure to partner with various  hospitals & healthcare institutions in major  metropolises in Maharashtra. To start with as of date we have 6 partners in Pune and  Mumbai of Maharashtra state addressing our cause. Pune partners : (1) Morbai Naraindas Budhrani Cancer Institute, Koregaon Park, Pune: This institute  located in the Sadhu Vaswani Medical Complex, is providing for past 4 years radiation  and surgery treatments to the poor and needy cancer patients. As a fresh initiative we  have added chemotherapy treatments from this year. Every month more than 10 poor  patients get supported through this program. (2) Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital & Research Center, Erandawane, Pune: A fresh  initiative at Pune is launched to provide radiation and chemotherapy treatments to the  poor and needy cancer patients. Every month about 25 poor patients are supported for  oncology treatments. Further the Hospital administration has issued identity cards for the poor patients, through which they can avail a credit up to the limit of Rs. 7000/-pm for  oncology treatments under this program. Mumbai partners : NMBT through close coordination works with Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA),  Mumbai for last 3 years to provide radiation and chemotherapy support to the poor and  needy cancer patients of Mumbai. These treatments are provided through 4 government hospitals located across south and central Mumbai viz; (1) CAMA Hospital, Near CST Rly. Station;  (2) B. Y. L. NAIR Hospital, at Mumbai Central; (3) WADIA Hospital, at Parel and (4) SION Hospital at King Circle. Every month more than 50 poor patients are supported through these hospitals by our  initiative. Upon recommendation from the doctors and social workers located within the hospital premises CPAA interacts with the patients to identify their needs. The process of documents verification (ration card copy, photograph, income proof etc.) as well as visit to the patients' residence is judiciously performed by NMBT program coordinators on  patients desiring support (Pune/Mumbai city jurisdiction). NMBT partners with eleven eye  care institutions to achieve this objective pan India located at Coimbatore, Pammal,  Chennai, Guntur, Nashik, Rishikesh, Madurai, Pune, Thane for past several years. Fresh additions to this list are Ocular oncology center at Sankara Eye care Institution,  Bengaluru more specifically to open and operate Ocular Oncology treatments and  “Krishnarpanam'' Vision centre, Jawhar, District – Thane (through Tulsi Eye Hospital,  Nashik) EYE CARE : The “Krishnarpanam'' program for curable blindness is an outreach programme in the  tribal, rural and urban areas of India. It involves community mobilization, identification,  transportation, surgery and post-operative follow-up. NMBT partners with eleven eye  care institutions to achieve this objective pan India located at Coimbatore, Pammal,  Chennai, Guntur, Nashik, Rishikesh, Madurai, Pune, Thane for past several years. Fresh additions to this list are Ocular oncology center at Sankara Eye care Institution,  Bengaluru more specifically to open and operate Ocular Oncology treatments and  “Krishnarpanam'' Vision centre, Jawhar, District – Thane (through Tulsi Eye Hospital,  Nashik) HIV/AIDS SUPPORT Mumbai partners: NMBT for past 5 years supports Ojus Medical Institute, Mumbai for  health and medical support activities in Juhu-Versova region. Medical camps are  arranged in slums and Nutrition support to the mother and milk powder (Nestle co.) for  the new born child is given as part of the Prevention of Parent to Child Transmission  (PPTCT) program, run by Mumbai District Aids Control Society. People have also now  started to come to the “Krishnarpanam'' medical camps and the health centre for general diagnosis. 'Annapurna'-Sahas - A fresh initiative was started this year in association with K. J.  Somaiya Medical Trust, Mumbai for nutritional support and skill training for HIV infected  women. We supply selected food grains as part of nutritional support to the women and those interested are being sent for skill training for their betterment in life. Of the 43 HIV infected women/family identified in November 2010, 35 women are being sent for  various skill training programs, which are conducted by Kherwadi Social Welfare  Association (KSWA) at their various centers in Mumbai. In Pune : The NMBT supports 'Manavya' – an orphanage at Bhugaon in the outskirts of  Pune, which is house for 50 HIV infected children. The “Krishnarpanam'' medical centre set up within the premises is fully equipped with a doctor & two nurses, who provide the required first aid to the children before taking them to Sasoon Hospital, Pune for proper medical support. This initiative of NMBT has drastically improved the resistance power of the children and has helped save many lives. Alliance with Sasoon hospital, Pune helps our NMBT in getting the required {(A)nti  (R)retroviral (T)herapy} ART treatments for HIV infected children. Also National Aids  Research Institute, Pune (NARI) the blood testing unit there aids NMBT to conduct the  required blood tests; like CD4 count etc. free of cost for these children. HEART SURGERIES SUPPORT :  Consortium formed by like minded donors – Mr. Jagdish Chanrai & Mrs. Madhu  Chanrai/Tulsi Trust, Mr. Gulu Waney and Mr. Devidas Budhrani/NMBT; is involved to  support poor and needy people of rural areas of Maharashtra with Heart ailments for  medicine, treatment and surgery. The Consortium supports for this cause at Fabiani &  Budhrani Heart Institute located in the Sadhu Vaswani Medical Complex – Pune,  angiography, angioplasty and by-pass surgery for the poor and needy patients. Annually around 100 heart surgeries are supported through consortium account. NMBT also independently supports for heart surgeries at U. N. Mehta Institute of  Cardiology, Ahmedabad for the poor and needy patients, who are within 50km radius of Ahmedabad municipality. A stringent check comprising of verification of documents  (ration card, income proof etc.) and a visit to the patients home is carried out prior to  approval through the support of Sadhu Vaswani Mission's volunteers. Proper  documentation on all needy patients thus supported is maintained. OTHER HEALTH INITIATIVES :  In collaboration with Sadhu Vaswani Ashram Medical Centre at Khandala in  Maharashtra, NMBT provides free primary medical diagnosis, treatments and medicine through mobile van for tribal population in this region. Every day a mobile van visits to  these identified remote villages in the hilly valleys and takes care of the patients. Follow up is carried out on weekly basis. Every month around 1000 patients with primarily chronic ailments from 20 villages avail the benefits of this mobile clinic. Further tests and treatments, if necessary, are referred to and treated by Khandala Medical centre and Sadhu Vaswani Medical complex Pune.

A Gist: Over 75,000 eye surgeries carried out since 2005 About 200 heart surgeries supported every year. Poor patients , 1000 per year are supported through Oncology (Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy and Surgeries) About 150 (HIV/AIDS) families are benefited every year. Over 3000 patients get primay medical support every month in Baroda, Ahmedabad, Khandala and Mumbai
