Destitute Care Program

Poverty reduction is not necessarily uniform across all poor people in a country, or across population subgroups; an improvement overall may yet leave the poorest of the poor behind. •India is home to 343.5 million destitute people – 28.5% of the population is destitute. This is a huge number. The age factor also plays a major role in pushing people in destitution.

NMBT has experienced a range of challenge the poorest of poor face and many who face destitution. Our work with range of institutions is to offer a dignified life to the people who are victims of poverty, poor health, old age, poor mental health. Promoting and supporting good quality health care and proper care to people who are challenged by destitution is ensured through like minded partner instituions.
