Mr. Devidas N. Budhrani (Chairman)

Mr. Devidas N. Budhrani an accomplished business magnate, who has built thriving businesses and industries globally since 1968.  Starting from humble beginnings, his journey to success is a testament to his relentless hard work, disciplined attention to detail, focused vision, and strategic decision making.

He has always, since his youth, committed unwaveringly to contributing to the overall welfare of the less fortunate. He formed the Naraindas Morbai Budhrani Trust, in memory of his father and mother to support marginalized people and communities across India. His philanthropic quest, further inspired by his guru, the late Dada J. P. Vaswani is rooted in a desire to empower the less fortunate with quality education and healthcare.

Mr. D.N. Budhrani constantly strives to improve the lives of the financially disadvantaged people through meaningful initiatives in health, education, skill development, and community welfare and formulates and directs the policies of the Trust to achieve these goals.

Mr. D.N. Budhrani continuously inculcates a sense of belonging and self-respect to all who contribute to the activities of the Trust, our team and our partners and our consultants.

Driven by his passion and foresight, the Trust advances progressively in its mission to serve and uplift the marginalized with dignity and hope, raising their values, self-belief and capabilities.

Mr. V N Hegde

Mr. V. N. Hegde joined Budhrani Group in 1996 after he retired from Nationalised Bank as a seasoned banker. He is a Founder member of Naraindas Morbai Budhrani Trust. Mr. Hegde manages the day-to-day operations of the Trust, sets measurable targets to be achieved, and is responsible for identifying new projects deserving of the Trust’s support. He assesses and evaluates their performances, so the resources of the Trust are put into optimum use. All of this to achieve the Trust’s objective to make others Happy.

He plays a pivotal role in guiding, motivating, and supporting the entire team on the strategies and methods to adopt in reaching out to the underserved. Mr. Hegde is actively involved in discussions and collaborations with the team internally as well as the Trust’s partners in taking forward our work.

Beyond operations, Mr. Hegde contributes significantly to the organization’s growth and professional development, generously sharing the wisdom gained from his extensive experience. His leadership is instrumental to the continued evolution and impact of the activities of the Trust.

Mr. Kishin Wadhwani

Mr. Kishin Wadhwani is a seasoned entrepreneur and business leader renowned for his pragmatic approach to driving growth and solving complex business challenges. Beyond his professional acumen, he is deeply empathetic to societal struggles, particularly those faced by economically marginalized communities. A firm believer in equitable opportunities, he advocates for the underprivileged to have access to quality education and healthcare, ensuring they receive more than just a fair chance at a better life.

As an active member of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Wadhwani provides guidance to the initiatives undertaken by the Naraindas Morbai Budhrani Trust. Additionally, he leads the Budhrani Charitable Trust in Lagos, Nigeria, where he works to uplift local underprivileged communities through health and education programs.

Mr. Arun Arora

Chartered Accountant by profession, Mr. Arun Arora brings in his immense experience of dealing with numbers to the table with his unique perspective. Mr. Arora has closely associated with charities and organizations committed to the social cause. He is associated with Naraindas Morbai Budhrani Trust since inception.

Ms. Nimrata Dalamal

Nimrata Dalamal has a wide experience of developing and managing businesses and has been instrumental in shaping many business ventures. A strong connect with people and efficient management of people is her forte. Compassionate and believer in humanity is what connects Ms. Nimrata with the vision and mission of Naraindas Morbai Budhrani Trust – and believes that every person has a right to dignified living and opportunity to utilise their full potential for the betterment of humanity and as a Trust committed to serve the poorest of poor – we must optimise every opportunity in betterment of economically most disadvantaged section in every possible manner.

Dr. Avinash Supe

(MS FICS DNBE FCPS, DHA, PGDME, MHPE (UIC), FIAGES, FMAS, FAIS)

Dr. Avinash Supe is a well known figure in the public health sector, especially in Maharashtra. Dr. Supe Sir has retired from Role of Dean to KEM Hospital and GS Seth Medical College, at the same time handling the additional charge of Director (ME & MH). While part of the KEM & Sion Hospital, he was a very popular teacher and was recognized for his skills and compassion with Dr. B.C. Roy National Award (Eminent Medical Teacher), he is also ANBAI awardee (Eminent Medical Teacher). Dr. Supe has been the Founder Director, GSMC FAIMER regional Institute, and Ex Secretary, Asia Pacific HPB Association. He is also the Past President  IHPBA – India and Academy of Health Professions Educators and President – Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology.  He has many publications to his credit and continues to write on public health on many platforms.

Dr. Henal R Shah

MBBS, DPM, MD, MSc (Health Professions Education, Maastricht)

We are honored to welcome Dr. Henal Shah to our Board of Trustees. Dr. Shah is a distinguished psychiatrist and educator with over two decades of experience in mental health, medical education, and child and adolescent psychiatry. She currently serves as an Additional Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Topiwala National Medical College & BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai. Her academic credentials include an MD, a DPM, and an M.Sc. in Health Professions Education from Maastricht University, reflecting her commitment to both clinical excellence and educational innovation.

Dr. Shah has authored over 70 research publications, contributing significantly to the fields of psychiatry and medical education. Her work encompasses a range of topics, including child and adolescent mental health, medical education frameworks, and leadership training in medical curricula. In addition to her academic and clinical roles, Dr. Shah is the Treasurer of the Indian Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, where she plays a pivotal role in advancing mental health initiatives for young populations.

Her dedication to mental health advocacy, combined with her extensive experience in clinical practice and education, makes her an invaluable addition to our organization. We look forward to her insights and leadership as we continue to advance our mission.

Prakash Narayan Borgaonkar

A passionate advocate for the elderly, Prakash Narayan Borgaonkar brings with him over 37 years of dedicated service in elder care and social welfare. He also attached with Aaji Care Sevak Foundation as CEO. He is continuing to lead impactful initiatives for Senior Citizens.

He previously served at HelpAge India for an impressive 36 years, retiring as the Head of Maharashtra & Goa. During his tenure, he sensitized over 4 lakh students on ageing and intergenerational bonding, led numerous counseling initiatives, and successfully advocated for policy reforms benefitting the elderly.

Mr. Borgaonkar has represented elder care issues on national and international platforms and has contributed to key policy documents, including Maharashtra’s State Policy for Older Persons. His work has earned him prestigious honors like the Jyeshtha Seva Bhushan Award, Thought Leaders Award, and Bharat Excellence Award, along with acknowledgments from leaders like His Highness Prince Charles and Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

His vision, compassion, and deep expertise are invaluable assets to NMBT as we continue our mission of community well-being.
