Poverty remains as the root of many of the high end issues as also being a part of several other smaller issues. Poverty in India is widespread with the nation estimated to have a third of the world’s poor. Over 26% population still under poverty line, the challenges faced by economically and socially stressed families are humongous. The changing profile of society, where even the rural families are getting fragmented, is having its toll. India is young country –where the elderly are struggling to retain their dignity and respect. Widening gap between the Haves and Have nots, where media is influencing ever spear of life is further dividing the people on the lines of cast class and identity.
NMBTs Community Development initiatives aims at offering the much required relief to the population that is distanced and challenged by the so called mainstream society.
