COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE PROGRAM

India continues to spend about 1.2% of its GDP on health sector far less than some of the poorest countries of the world. In order to ensure common man’s access to affordable health service, NMBT has consciously investing in urban public health model where people are able to access affordable health at the time convenient for them with just no burden to their pocket… a model that’s been desired the most and easily replicable.

Medicinal support

Guided by this philosophy, NMBT partnered with Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Baroda (SVMB) to extend primary healthcare to the underprivileged communities in the slum areas of Baroda, particularly in Warasiya. NMBT’s core contribution to this initiative is financial — funding the daily evening clinic that provides accessible and affordable medical care to slum residents who would otherwise struggle with the cost and distance of treatment. Beyond funding, NMBT plays an active oversight role by monitoring the project, conducting periodic site visits, and reviewing both performance and financial reports submitted by SVMB. The Trust ensures accountability by requiring its name to be acknowledged on prescription pads and all clinic-related documents, reinforcing transparency in the partnership. NMBT also leverages case studies, photographs, and progress reports (with due permission) to highlight the project’s impact through its annual reports and newsletters.

Naraindas Morbai Budhrani Trust (NMBT) has partnered with Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation (SRF) to provide critical medicine support for mentally ill destitute patients following their discharge from SRF’s rehabilitation center. NMBT’s primary contribution in this initiative is the direct procurement and supply of prescribed medicines to discharged patients at their respective residences, ensuring continuity of treatment beyond hospital care. Reflecting NMBT’s commitment to sustained, long-term support rather than one-time assistance. NMBT takes on the responsibility of identifying and screening beneficiaries based on both financial and medical need, ensuring that support reaches the most vulnerable. The Trust also actively interacts with patients to collect feedback and assess the real-world impact of the medicines provided. NMBT ensures that all beneficiaries are informed of the financial assistance they are receiving, maintaining transparency and dignity in its outreach. The project operates under the banner of “Naraindas Morbai Budhrani Trust’s Medicine Support Project for the Destitute,” with display boards and prescription pads acknowledging NMBT’s support. Through this collaboration, NMBT once again demonstrates its deep-rooted mission of serving the suffering as an act of devotion and humanity.

Amulance support

Naraindas Morbai Budhrani Trust (NMBT) has extended its commitment to rural healthcare by supporting Parivaar’s Free Mobile Clinic and Ambulance Service, operational since September 2021 across 8 districts of Madhya Pradesh. Through this partnership, NMBT is helping bring essential medical services directly to remote villages that lack any form of healthcare facility. The service has proven to be a lifeline for villagers who previously had to travel long distances and bear significant costs for basic treatment. Community members have responded positively, sharing that the mobile clinic provides good quality care right at their doorstep. The ambulance service further complements this by addressing emergency transportation needs in areas where such support was previously non-existent.

We partnered with SKKMT to establish a dedicated Community Eye Care Wing at Sankara Eye Centre in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, reinforcing its mission of bringing quality healthcare to the underprivileged. The centre was inaugurated on 30th January 2020, marking a significant milestone in accessible eye care for the poor and rural populations of the region. With a total capacity of 225 beds, an impressive 200 beds are exclusively dedicated to providing free eye care services to those who cannot afford treatment. At full operational capacity, the centre aims to perform 20,000 cataract surgeries every year, offering life-changing vision restoration to thousands of patients. To extend its outreach further, SKKMT has requested NMBT’s support in providing a 50-seater bus to cover a vast radius of 500 km around Indore, enabling the team to reach patients in the most remote corners of the region. This transportation support would be instrumental in ensuring that distance and lack of mobility do not become barriers to receiving critical eye care.
